Veggie Broccoli and Cheese Balls on Red Tomato Sauce

• Dominant Color: Green
• Base: Tomato sauce

Ingredients (2 people)
For the meatballs:
• 300 g of cooked broccoli
• 60 g of grated cheese (parmesan or pecorino)
• 1 egg
• 3–4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
• Salt, pepper

For the sauce:
• 200 ml of tomato passata
• 1 garlic clove
• Oil, salt

Procedure
1. Mash the broccoli and mix with cheese, egg, and breadcrumbs until a moldable dough is formed.
2. Shape the dough into meatballs and brown them in a pan with a drizzle of oil (or bake them for 15 minutes at 200°C).
3. Prepare a quick sauce by heating the tomato passata with garlic and salt.
4. Place the meatballs on top of the hot sauce.
